The menu is familiar and almost similar to the McCafes in Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and Australia.
Majority of the hot drinks are available in three sizes — small (8oz), medium (12oz) and large (16oz) except Espresso and Espresso Macchiato.
The cold drinks are available in two sizes — medium (12oz) and large (16oz) with a one ringgit price difference between the two.

Selection of cakes and muffins
Among the cakes available are Black Forest Cake, Mocha Marble Cheese Cake, Blueberry Cheese Cake — all priced at RM 9.90 per slice. Banana Walnut Muffin, Double Chocolate Chip Muffin and Carrot Raisin Muffin are available for RM 5.50 each. Also available are Brownie (RM 5.50).
Cappuccino tasted quite decent without any additional sugar or syrup. It was quite flavorful and aromatic and neither too strong or mild.
Medium-sized Iced Mocha
Iced Mocha was delightful with its rich coffee and chocolate flavors but a little sweet as expected.
Mocha Frappe sample
We also had the opportunity to try the Mocha Frappe through the samples distributed. Frankly, it has too much whip cream it was hard to distinguish.

Verdict: McCafe has finally come to Malaysia. The coffee they serve are decent and affordable. Ambiance-wise, it can definitely improved by adding a door between the Playland and the restaurant to limit the noise from the Playland like how McCafe’s in other countries did. Additional flavors for the cakes such as Cookies & Cream Cheesecake would be certainly welcomed. All in all, McCafe may not be able to challenge established cafes like Starbucks Coffee or The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, but they are certainly welcomed by all. After all, it serves great coffee at a fraction of a price.
