Sundrop Kopi Susu or Milk Coffee is something new in the market and is made in Kuching, Sarawak. The coffee has got a strong coffee flavor despite being a milk coffee. However, I still prefer Suntory Boss Coffee.

Pokka has come up with a new drink — Vanilla. Initially, this drink may taste like those Vanilla Ice-Blended, however, despite the fact this is a coffee drink, the taste of Vanilla is way too strong that it covers up the entire milk coffee flavor. Personally, I rather go for their normal Milk Coffee than this.

Cantata Original Blend Coffee are specialty coffee from Korea. The range include Cantata Premium Blend, Cantata Sweet Black and Cantata Black.

The Premium Blend flavor is a combination of pure coffee extract and fresh milk while Sweet Black contains original brewed coffee with a slight hint of sweetness. The Black flavor however, is consisted of black, deep and full bodied of a real brewed black coffee.

Cantata Premium Blend has fresh milk, and is therefore like the normal coffee with milk except with good quality coffee beans. While Cantata Sweet Black is like black coffee with sugar and taste slightly bitter.

Boss Coffee is a very popular brand in Japan made by Suntory. And now in Malaysia, we have Suntory Boss Coffee locally manufactured by Pokka Ace (M) Sdn. Bhd.

Suntory Boss Coffee - Caffe Latte and Original

Both Boss Caffe Latte and Boss Original are coffee drinks with milk with the former one taste slightly sweeter, Boss Original has a stronger aroma of coffee. Both are premium quality coffee from deeply roasted beans, 100% Brazil. Pretty good, I would say.

Mt. Rainier Caffe Latte

Today, I got myself a can of Mt. Rainier Caffe Latte from Shojikiya, a Japanese supermarket in The Gardens, Mid Valley Kuala Lumpur.

The coffee has a very strong aroma from the moment I opened the lid. Although it’s a cafe latte, it tastes very strong - almost as good as a freshly brewed espresso from Starbucks. It’s a Japanese coffee and it tastes really good. You got to try it. Retails at MYR 6.90 (approx. USD $2.00).

Who said you need to queue up in Starbucks every morning for your dose of Espresso?

Now, you can get Starbucks “Doubleshot” Espresso in the can. It tastes just like the real thing. The espresso may not be as strong but it still can give some good dose of caffeine boost in the morning, especially for the sleepy hogs. This is not black coffee as it contains milk and of course, espresso.

A range of French Café coffees - from left, Caramel Macchiato, Cappuccino and Café au lait

Recently, I saw a few coffee drinks from Isetan supermarket and decided to buy them. The name is French Café but I believed it’s made in Japan with all the Japanese wordings on it. Some of the flavors include Caramel Macchiato, Cappuccino and Café au lait. There are at least a couple of other flavors.

The Cappuccino tastes quite strong with a deep and rich flavor. You can actually taste the aroma of the coffee despite the fact that it is a can version. It’s almost like a freshly-brewed coffee! Whereas Caramel Macchiato has a sweeter flavor than the others. While, Café au lait tastes like latte (au lait means latte in French), not bad at all. In English, it means milk coffee.

Definitely “must-buy” for coffee lovers.

Have you tried “Wong Lo Kat” Herbal Drink in can? I have tried it numerous times and found it quite soothing. Unlike the traditional herbal drink, “Wong Lo Kat” is sweetened even though it says no preservatives on the can.

Real Power is Real Madrid C.F. Official Drink. It’s an energy drink and contains high level amount of caffeine. Like most energy drinks, Real Power contains taurine (carbohydrates), Glucoronolactone, caffeine, vitamins B12 and B8.

Funny though, the drink has a very strong flavor of jackfruit, a native fruit of southwestern India and Sri Lanka and Malaysia. Unless you love the taste of jackfruit, you won’t like this energy drink for sure.
